History of the school of village Strilche

In old times the studies of children was in separate houses. A scribe and father taught children mainly. First the apartment of school in our village was built at the end of a 19 century near a church (presently there is the located residence of priest in it). Children of peasants studied in it. School had 2 classes. Headmaster was Omelyan Belenkevich and two teachers in first time. Studies were conducted by polish and ukrainian languages. Children studied grammar, mathematics, reading and religion.

Near the school was big bell. Ringing convened children to the studies. This bell saved to present days. To the end of 1912 years to put wrote with on pottery small planks by the special pencil. Written words and digits were possible to wipe, as today in schools on black-boards. Attendance of school was obligatory for all children, but from poverty not all children regularly walked in school.

Attendance became the best, when opened a library and an people`s intellectual level grew . In 1911 year, building of new school was complete in a village. Near school there was a garden, on which the students of every class grew the selected areas garden cultures and looked after them.
There was a nursery at school, where pupils grew the grafts of apple-trees, pears, plums. Pupils did graft the hands, and the grown distributed peasants.Nursery transplants which the slopes of Stril'che Meadow are cropped with were grown in this nursery.

All of it was done, thanking Omelyan Belenkevichu, active member of group Educations. From 1900 to 1904 the prominent Ukrainian literary critic Dmytro Rudyk studied at our school, where he got the first elements of sciences, upon termination of initial school he continued studies in of gymnasium in Gorodenka.

Omelyan Belenkevich worked by headmaster to 1929 year and left good memory about itself in Stril'che. He was the clever, polite, educated person. School at this time developed from 2 classes to 4 clfsses (There were 4 teachers and director in 1928). But Belenkevichiv and his family left Strilche in 1929.

Beginning from 1929 year head master was Krupa, which in 1939 year was arrested and he disappeared in NKVD. From 1939 to 1940 director was Chaykovskiy, from 1940 to 1941 Mikhayliv Petro. Director Mikhayliv was arrived with family from East Ukraine. After polish school, breathing of the Ukrainian spirit was felt. In a shop left Many textbooks, notebooks, school tools was able to buy in the school. Prices were chieap.

From 1942 to 1943 again Chaykovskiy became to work as a director again . After him, from 1944 to 1945 was Gelemey Yuliya, from 1945 to 1946 was Shlemkevich Ivan, from 1946 to 1948 was Mikhayliv Petro, from 1949 to 1957 Kal'chenko Andriy. The scholl extended from 4 to 7 classes. Studies were in Ukrainian. Pupils studied such subjects: mathematical, language, literature, physics, chemistry, geography, history and other subjects. From 1957 to 1969 a director of the school was Verezhak Bohdan. In 1960 year school extended to the eight-year studies.

The modern apartment of school was built in 1974. The director of state farm of "Zorya" Gaydich Vasyl came forward a founder. Headmaster in that time was Yakivchik Vasyl which worked as director from 1969 to 1982 years. 24 teachers worked and studied 296 pupils in school now.

7 teachers have I-category, 2-teachers have a rank the "Senior teacher". The school works under such motto: "To knowledges, to the true rush without will retain. We are young flowers, is a hope of Ukraine!"
