THE CHURCH OF ST.JOHN, APOSTLE AND EVANGELIST In 1712 year in a village was built a wooden church which burned out near 1800 year. in this place It had built the church residence, in more late times. In foundation of this building there was the bricked up flag on which inscription and number of construction was 1710. In soviet time Residence and economic apartments near it were blasted, stone taken out to a collective farm on building, a flag with inscription disappeared. Long time this area was empty, there grew the weeds, between the weeds stood the single inclined crosses. Among them one cross, about which talked that bringing of old church stood in this place. A church well was found recently.
A new church was built in 1812 near a church there is a cemetery which from an old man many crosses are carried on, among them, so-called "Cossacks". There is a table in the new church. On it wrote names of all priests , which served from 1774 year. There is such record "beginning of 223", but there are not explanations, what does it mean. On the underbody of the cross of our church there is the fastened moon - character of tatarish faith. In the time of tatarish occupation the halfmoons put on churches in the villages, when the habitants of these villages regularly paid a contribution. A church at soviet power was dissociated from the state, but not from pursuit of communists. Anti-religious agitation was spending against a religion during soviet power. Power found people which in useful aims or on the irresponsibility did anti-religious activity. These people conducted agitation among people against celebration of religious holidays. Priest used church lands. On this lands power imposed exhausting taxes. And when spriest with the help of public this tax paid, then a new report came about a necessity to pay a new tax. If priest didn`t pay the tax he could be executed by death punishment. It was reason that people left off to walk in a church. It resulted in a moral decline. In the days of the Gorbachev`s perestroika the priest of our church was Ivan Nikiforuk. He succeeded to reconcile people with interconfessional divergences. On June, 17, 1990 Vasyl Grigoriv became to serve by priest in the village. He did large repair of church. The economic apartments was built on the territory of residence, a well is dug up, a telephone and natural gas were conducted.
